Donald Oldakowski Jr. – Owner, Allen’s Moving and Storage

Donald Oldakowski Jr., owner of Allen’s Moving and Storage, brings decades of experience, leadership, and passion to the moving industry. Raised in North Conway, New Hampshire, Donald developed a strong work ethic and a deep appreciation for community values early in life. He went on to study at Plymouth State University, building the foundation for a successful career in business and sales.

Donald began his journey in the moving industry in 1998 and quickly established himself as a top performer. Over the years, he held key leadership roles, including Sales Manager for Mayflower and Vice President of Sales for Allen & Coles, an agent for Allied and North American Van Lines. His dedication and results earned him recognition as a top salesman in the country, along with a place on the elite relocation sales team for SIRVA, where he specialized in executive relocations.

In 2022, Donald took the next major step in his career by purchasing Allen’s Moving and Storage. Since then, he has been focused on building a company rooted in professionalism, family values, and a commitment to going above and beyond what large corporate moving companies typically offer. His vision is simple: deliver a higher level of personalized service while treating every customer like family.

A proud father to his son, Kastle, Donald is driven to create a business that his family can be proud of for generations to come. His mission is not just to move customers—but to build lasting relationships.

“I want to be your mover for life.”

Historical Highlights of Our Augusta and Scarborough ME Movers

We take pride in providing these historical highlights of our company, offering Augusta and Scarborough, ME movers to the region:

Ervine B. Allen starts Allen's Moving & Storage.

Allen's Transfer operated out of the basement of a five-floor building on Willow Street in Augusta, ME. We had 12 employees, six trucks, and a couple of tractor-trailers for household relocations.

In September of 1978, Allen's moved to a newly constructed 17,000 square feet facility on Civic Center Drive in Augusta. The facility accommodated all phases of the household moving and storage business.

We added an additional 7,000 square feet to our 17,000 square-foot household moving facility at Civic Center Drive.

In September of 1987, we expanded our facility by adding 17,000 square feet, making it 41,000 square feet.

An addition is made to our household division of 168 West Street in Biddeford, ME.

Our moving company made an addition to our household division at 3 Karen Drive in Westbrook, ME.
